About Blessing Box

Blessing Box Ministry Inc., originally named ‘Minister in Action’, is a nonprofit organization that was birth by four faithful men and women of different churches; all with the same desire and vision. These faithful men and women would minister the word of God to those of various backgrounds while providing food and clothing as needed.

Years later, the ministry grew and moved from the church setting to its own separate entity. Rebirthing under a new name in 2018, Blessing Box Ministry, Inc. was born. We are a 501-c (3) nonprofit organization Our founder is Belinda Strickland, who is the president and stands on the principles of give and it shall be given. Blessing Box has a team for faithful and committed members and volunteers who services continually the communities of the eastern part of North Carolina.

At Blessing Box Ministry, we believe that no one in Eastern North Carolina should have to navigate life’s hardest chapters alone. We are more than just a resource—we are a community-driven lifeline dedicated to meeting our neighbors in their moments of need with unwavering dignity and love.

Our Heart in Action

Nourishing Families: Beyond just a box of food, we provide the fresh produce and essential groceries that keep families healthy and whole during times of food insecurity.
Preserving Dignity: We provide hygiene kits and personal care essentials, ensuring that even in a crisis, our neighbors can feel like themselves.
A Bridge Through the Storm: When illness or job loss strikes, we stand in the gap, offering immediate emergency assistance and a clear path toward stability.
A Connected Community: Through initiatives like our 3K Walk for a Cause for Youth Diabetes Awareness, we turn individual struggles into collective strength, fostering education and unity.
A Listening Ear: We walk alongside those who are hurting, offering prayer, emotional reassurance, and a reminder that their story matters.
Strength in Unity: Our mission is powered by the hands of volunteers and the hearts of local churches, schools, and businesses. Together, we ensure every person we serve feels truly seen.

Our Mission To be a beacon of hope in our community, providing the resources and compassion needed to transform hardship into healing and isolation into belonging.

Our Impact Blessing Box Ministry is built on the promise that a simple act of service can change a life. By showing up consistently with genuine care, we help families move from just "getting by" to feeling truly supported and strengthened.

Mission Statement

Blessing Box Ministry INC is made up of true laborers of believers. We believe that no one should go without or make a choice to pay bills, buy medicine, or eat. It is our dedication to assist individuals who have fallen into hardship by aiding them with their essential daily living needs, as well as educational workshop to get them back on the right track.

Founder Belinda with team of faithful members and volunteers, she continues to serve communities in the eastern part from Blessing Box Ministry partners.

Meet the Team

Our team are made up of spiritually connected, faithful, committed, positive believers in Christ. It is our desire to be instruments for giving hope and help to the communities that we serve. We are not focus on just being a center for handouts; but more so, we believe in giving a "hand up". Therefore, we not only provide where there is a physical need, but we also pray for guidance when there is a spiritual need. To God Be the Glory!
